The starting terms for Sparrow Grid’s applications, Access modernisation and website services. Your accepted written quotation and project agreement define the specific work. Updated 27 September 2026.
Assessment comes before commitment
The introductory call is free. Paid assessments start from R2,500, with the review scope and fee agreed before work begins. The assessment fee is credited against an accepted build quotation according to the qualifying scope and timing stated in that quotation. An assessment is not a promise that every feature of an existing system can be recovered or converted.
Project scope and pricing
Application prices are indicative starting points in South African rand. Motion has the defined website-package scope below. The final scope, cost, schedule, acceptance criteria and any applicable VAT are confirmed in writing. Extra workflows, data cleanup, specialist integrations, third-party licences and changes to an agreed design may require a separate quotation. Additional approved work is R850 per hour unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payments and changes
The standard build payment schedule is 40% before work begins, 40% when the agreed test version is ready, and 20% after agreed acceptance checks and before launch. Changes are documented and approved before additional work begins. Cancellation, rescheduling, ownership, source-code delivery and any third-party licences must be addressed in the accepted project agreement.
Your data and your responsibilities
You must be authorised to supply the system, source code, data and documentation for review and migration. Tell us about relevant data restrictions, linked systems and external dependencies. Keep a recoverable backup of the original system and appoint someone who can confirm the intended business rules, test representative workflows and approve the agreed migration checks.
Images and other supplied content
You may provide photographs, logos, documents, code and other materials you want included. You are responsible for obtaining the copyright permissions, licences and consents needed for all materials you supply, including images found online. Supplying an image does not mean it is free to use.
Sparrow Grid does not independently verify ownership of client-supplied materials and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, is not responsible for infringement arising from those materials. We may decline or remove disputed material. These terms do not exclude responsibilities or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Migration, testing and launch
We rebuild agreed functionality and migrate agreed data; this is not an automatic or like-for-like conversion of every Access object. The project defines reconciliation checks, user acceptance, the final transfer window, backup and fallback arrangements. Internet access is needed for the standard online application. Offline operation and uninterrupted availability are not implied.
Corrections and ongoing care
A 30-day period after launch covers correction of reproducible defects within the agreed scope. New features, changed requirements and issues outside that scope are quoted separately. Managed application care starts from R1,500 per month; the accepted care scope defines hosting, backup retention, storage, routine maintenance, support hours and response targets.
Motion websites
Motion is R5,000 for the agreed brochure-website scope of up to five content pages, with rich visual presentation, purposeful animation and interactive service presentation. Hosting, domain registration, extra pages, e-commerce and custom applications are separate unless expressly included in the quotation. Revision limits, content responsibilities and acceptance are confirmed in writing. No paid assets or services are purchased without your approval.
Website Care
Website Care is an optional R500 per month service for existing websites or new websites built by Sparrow Grid. It covers routine maintenance, agreed updates and backup checks, and minor content changes within the accepted scope. Existing websites are reviewed before onboarding. The written agreement defines access, compatibility, change limits, hosting responsibilities and support arrangements. Remedial repairs, redesigns and new functionality are quoted separately. This service is separate from managed business-application care.
