This page is a practical first draft of the Sparrow Grid service rules and should be reviewed by a qualified South African attorney before commercial launch.
1. Service model
Sparrow Grid provides a managed, template-based website service. It does not provide bespoke website design unless separately agreed in writing.
2. Setup fee
The R1,500 once-off setup fee is payable before template customisation begins. Work starts only after the selected template, page list and content pack are approved.
3. Template and scope
The customer selects an approved MonsterONE HTML5 template. The setup includes up to 5 existing template pages or one landing page. Pages and sections may be removed. New page layouts, redesigns and custom functionality are excluded.
4. Customer content
The customer supplies final wording, logos, photographs, graphics and other required material. The customer confirms that it has all rights and permissions required to use that content. Sparrow Grid does not independently verify licences or copyright ownership.
5. Draft and revision
The customer receives one initial draft and one consolidated revision round. Additional changes, changes to the chosen template or changes outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately.
6. SparrowCare
The R500 monthly SparrowCare fee covers managed cPanel hosting, SSL, backups, technical maintenance, support and one minor content update request per month of up to 30 minutes. Unused update time does not accumulate.
7. Domain names
Domains are registered in the customer’s correct registrant details. Domain registration and renewals are charged separately. The customer retains the domain when the service ends, subject to payment of domain-related amounts and the registrar’s rules.
8. Hosting and cancellation
The website operates on Sparrow Grid managed hosting while SparrowCare is active. If the service ends, hosting ends and the website is taken offline after the applicable paid or notice period. A website transfer or buyout is not automatically included and may be quoted separately, subject to third-party licence conditions.
9. Third-party services
External software, email services, stock media, advertising services and other third-party costs are excluded unless stated in writing.
10. Legal review
These website terms are an operational draft and not a substitute for legal advice. Sparrow Grid should adopt a properly reviewed customer agreement before accepting paid projects.
